Elxis Updater is an automatic tool for upgrading an Elxis 2008.0 installation to version 2008.1. The tool is fully automatic, you only have to click Next several times till the whole upgrade procedure is finish. Please read carefully the how-to guide for this tool before proceeding further.
Elxis Updater tool will do all the hard upgrade job for you automatically. Under some circumstances (mostly due to file permissions restrictions) you might face some problems, but there is solution for everything and this tool is smart enough to bypass such problems. This tool is for upgrading Elxis 2008.0 to 2008.1. No other past or future version is supported by this tool. As Elxis 2008.1 runs only under PHP 5 make sure if your server supports PHP 5. In Elxis Updater front-page there is a screen that tells you if your system is ready to be upgrading to version 2008.1. Elxis updater most probably will not work if you have safe_mode enabled (either Elxis work without problems under safe_mode). The enable of FTP access over files on your Elxis configuration is required in order for the Elxis Updater to be able to update files owned by the local ftp user.
